Itinerary

Day 1ARRIVE DELHI

On your arrival at the Delhi Airport, meet our tour representative who will assist you to transfer to the hotel. Complete the check-in formalities and rest for some time. Later, you are free to enjoy a stroll around the Delhi a confluence of ancient and modern culture and heritage.

Day 2DELHI

Post breakfast; get ready for a city tour covering the major tourist attractions in Delhi. Visit the India Gate – the war memorial of martyrs that stands 42 m high, that was formerly known as Kingsway with lush grounds around it; Parliament House or Sansad Bhavan– the Government Headquarters set in a circular colonnaded building, which has ministerial offices, various committee rooms and an amazing library. Later visit the Laxmi Narayan Temple – built in 1939, also known as Birla Mandir dedicated to Lord Narayan and his consort Goddess Laxmi. Visit the World Heritage Site of Humayun’s Tomb-erected in 1565 A.D. by the senior widow Emperor Humayun- Bega Begum, a magnificent Mughal architecture; Lotus Temple- also known as Baha’i house of worship, is a beautiful lotus like structure that was completed in 1986; World Heritage Site of Red Fort – the residence of India’s Mughal emperor for around 200 years till 1857, the red stone structure is the venue of flag hoisting on the Independence day. Visit the World Heritage Site of Qutab Minar, the tallest brick minaret.

Day 3DELHI – MATHURA (BY ROAD- 162 Kms / 3 hrs approx) - MATHURA – AGRA (BY ROAD – 58 Kms / 1 hr approx)

Early morning leave for Mathura, famed for being the birthplace of the much-loved Hindu god Lord Krishna. Mathura is said to be one of the seven sacred cities according to Hinduism. Later, drive for Agra, the city of the Taj Mahal.

Day 4AGRA – DELHI (BY ROAD – 210 Kms / 4 hrs approx)

Visit the Mughal City that is home to the world-renowned symbol of love the Taj Mahal, one of the Seven Wonders of the World. Constructed by the Mughal Emperor Shah Jahan in the memory of his beloved wife Mumtaz Mahal, it took 22 years to build the magnificent beauty. Later visit the Agra Fort, built during 16th century. This colossal structure is a mix of red sandstone part made by Emperor Akbar, Shah Jahan and later Aurangzeb. Drive back to Delhi. En-route Fatehpur Sikri, UNESCO World Heritage Site, built by Mughal Emperor Akbar in 1569 to honour Sufi Saint Shaikh Salim Chisti. On arrival in Delhi check in at the hotel.

Day 5DELHI –RISHIKESH (BY ROAD – 232 Kms/ 5.5 hrs)

Drive to Rishikesh. Upon arrival check-in at the hotel. Rest of the day is at leisure.

Day 06SIGHTSEEING OF RISHIKESH - HARIDWAR (BY ROAD -23 Kms / 30 min approx – one way)

In the morning, head for a sightseeing tour of Rishikesh. Visit the Ram Jhula, Laxman Jhula, and several temples and ashrams. In the afternoon drive to Haridwar. Pay a visit to the temples in Haridwar. Be a part of the evening Aarti of the ghats holy River Ganges. Drive back to Rishikesh.

Day 07RISHIKESH – DELHI (BY ROAD – 232 KMS/ 5.5 HRS)

Transfer to the Delhi airport to board flight for Delhi and onward destination.
