Itinerary

Day 1Arrival Delhi

On the first day of the tour you would arrive late night in Delhi. Our representative would come to welcome you at the airport. They will escort you to the Hotel Justa- the Residency, G.K. (Superior Room), one of the best hotels in the city. You would be provided with briefed about the tour and requisite documents would be handed over.

Day 2Delhi

Next morning, post breakfast, you would embark the journey to explore the rich heritage of India, starting with `Shah Jehanabad’ which has some dramatic remnants of the bygone Mughal era. Later you would visit imposing Red Fort and Asia’s largest mosque-Jama Masjid. A rickshaw ride through the narrow lanes of Chandni Chowk with a tree-lined canal flowing down its center is a must do activity for any tourist. Explore its hustling and bustling jumble of shops, temples, mosques and craftsmen’s workshops of goldsmiths, silversmiths, silk traders and embroiderers. Then you would visit Raj Ghat, the cremation site of Mahatma Gandhi. Afterwards you would drive through the boulevards of New Delhi and pass India Gate which is a memorial built to the 85000 soldiers who died in World War I and the Afghan battles of 1919. Just next to it stands the Rashtrapati Bhavan and Sansad Bhavan. You would devour a delectable lunch at ‘The Lodi’ and then proceed to visit Qutab Minar which dates back to A.D. 1193. As the sun recedes on the horizon, you would visit the Tomb of the second Mughal Emperor Humayun. Later you could resort back to the hotel Justa.

Day 3Delhi / Udaipur

Early morning on the 3rd day, you would leave for the airport to board a flight to Udaipur, the famed “City of Sunrise”. Once you reach there, our representatives would welcome and assist you to Jagat Nivas Palace (Raj Rooma- Lake facing), a modern heritage hotel with best comforts for the discerning minds. Following rest and breakfast, you would proceed to City Palace. Later you would visit the Jagadish temple, a very fine example of Indo-Aryan Art. In the evening, you would cruise on a boat through serene and beautiful Lake Pichola, followed by a visit to an island on this lake named Jagmandir Palace. Afterwards, you would go back to Jagat Niwas Palace.

Day 4Udaipur/ Ranakpur/ Pushkar

Next morning, you would drive to Pushkar. En route you would visit Ranakpur Jain Temple that dates back to15th century. En route we will visit Ranakpur. This temple is built has a basement of 48, 000 sq. feet and has 1,444 columns intricately carved with no two being alike. From here you continue to Pushkar. On arrival you would check into Ananta Spa & Resorts and relax overnight in tranquility.

Day 5Pushkar/ Jaipur

On day 5, you would take a tour of this amazingly fascinating religious town. It is a popular place of pilgrimage. Later, you would drive and check into Naila Bagh Palace, Jaipur. This palace is spread over a 21000 sq feet area. Explore its timeless beauty, history and opulence. Later, you would explore Rajasthani craftwork and block printing from start to finish. You would love the traditional chunky tribal jewelry to enameled gold to modern diamond jewelry, Kundan and enamel ornaments of this beautiful city. You could choose from colorful bangles to semi-precious stones, gem-cutters, intaglio beads and crystal scent bottles. Late evening you can unwind in overnight at Naila Bagh Palace.

Day 6Jaipur

After devouring a delicious breakfast next morning, you would proceed on a guided tour of the Amber Fort. It stands atop Aravali Hills and is an exemplary piece of Rajputana architecture. You would ride up to this hilltop palace on an elephant. Later you would visit Hawa Mahal or Palace of the Winds that was built in 1799 with 593 stone screens. In the evening, you would tour to City Palace and Solar Observatory. At the center of this palace is a seven-storied building called Chandra Palace. Afterwards, you would go back to Naila Bagh Palace (Royal Room).

Day 7Jaipur / Fatehpur Sikri / Agra

Next morning, you would drive to Agra. The famed deserted Capital City of Fatehpur Sikri. This city tells the tales of Mughal empire’s splendour. Then you would continue the ride to Agra. Upon arrival check you would check into hotel Radisson, Agra. At the sunset, you would visit Taj Mahal followed by an overnight at Hotel Radisson (Superior Room).

Day 8Agra / Jhansi

On the 8th day of your tour, you would board a train to Jhansi. On arrival, our representative would welcome you and escort you to hotel Radisson, Jhansi. After refreshment, you would drive to Khajuraho. Erotic sculptures and tantric architecture here leaves onlookers spell bounded. Late in the evening, you would visit temple complex to enjoy Sound & Light Show about the history of these temples. The voice over has been done by legendary actor Amitabh Bacchan. Subsequently, you would leave for an overnight at Hotel Radisson.

Day 9Khajuraho / Varanasi

Next morning, you would proceed to the world famous western group of temples depicting erotic sculptures of Gods and Goddesses making love. The artistic expression and creativity of these sculptures is too good to be true. Following the tour, you would leave for the airport to board your flight to Varanasi. Upon arrival at the Varanasi airport, our representatives would escort you to hotel Radission, Varanasi. After refreshment and a small nap, you would visit the ghats of Varanasi to witness the performance of Ganges Aarti which looks spectacular in the backdrop of the beating of cymbals, bells and incessant chanting. Afterwards you would go back to the hotel for an overnight stay.

Day 10Varanasi

At dawn of the 10th day of your expedition, you would visit the pious Ganges for a boat ride. The banks of this sacred river form an impressive part of the religious landscape of the city. En route you would explore the significant temples and architectural style of Varanasi. The boat will dock at Manikarnika Ghat which is known for crematoriums to release one from life’s earthly confines. From here you would set off on foot to explore the beauty of the inner city. Late in the afternoon, you would visit several temples including Bharat Mata temple, Durga temple and New Vishwanatha Temple. Subsequently, you would also visit the coveted Banaras Hindu University. Later in the evening, you would take a short trip to the Buddhist city of Sarnath where Buddha preached his first sermons after attaining enlightenment. Witnessing the evening prayers at this temple is a sole stirring experience.

Day 11Varanasi / Delhi

Next morning, you can go out for independent activities. In the evening, you would be escorted to the airport to connect your flight to Delhi. Upon arrival at Delhi, our representative would take you to Hotel Justa. Here, you would get a farewell dinner with an Indian family to enjoy their hospitality and way of life.

Day 12Delhi / Departure

You would be guided to the International airport to board your flight back home.
