THE ADVENTUROUS EAST
Some densest forests of the country lie here that are scattered with elevated Alpine meadows. Due to lush greenery and rolling hills, it becomes the area of naturalist’s paradise. Assam is the one, in 1228 the Ahom family arrives here from north Thailand beaten Kamrupa monarch and set up kingdom, known as Assam. According to Legends, god of love, Kamadeva was reborn at this place. Guwahati, capital of Assam, also known as ‘Eastern City of Lights’ that covers the surface of the river Bhramaputra with its entire route, the kingdom of Bhutan and south of Arunachal Pradesh, till it moves to Bangladesh. It attracts tourists towards the aura of mystery and myth, arts, history, folklore, dances and music, nature and wildlife. It is also the home of numerous tribal people that highlights the tour to Tawang Monastery which is the center point of Mopnas, courteous and gentle people who pursue Buddhism. Another north east state, Meghalaya literally transforms as ‘abode of the clouds’ an appropriate impressionistic description of stunning state. It is the capital of Shillong which is surrounded by numerous tribal towns or villages including Khasi, Garo and Jaintia tribes, all have their own diverse lifestyles and culture.

Day 1 (Kolkata)Reception at Kolkata airport and then transfers to your hotel

Day 3 (Kolkata - Guwahati - Shillong)In the morning, take a flight to Guwahati and then drive down to Shillong. This quaint hilly town is steeped in colonial history.

Day 4 (Shillong)The day is at leisure, visit the gardens and museums or play a round of golf on one of the most striking golf courses in the world.

Day 5 (Kaziranga - Shillong)Exploe the wildlife sanctuary at Kaziranga

Day 6 (Kaziranga)Enjoy the elephant and jeep safaris into the park to watch the great and rare one-horned rhinoceros.
