 Sanganer is a striking little town in Rajasthan, 13 kms from main Jaipur city. Find ancient temples, mesmerizing land of medieval ruins, and profound cultural roots in this enchanting land. Sanganer is famous for its skillful artisans who make conspicuous handmade paper. Also, don’t forget to watch them creating the superb pattern on textiles with their hand block-prints. It is known as the world's largest centre of hand-made paper. The place houses around ten hand-made paper industries, all of them are owned by Kagzis. Board industries and Salim Kagzi’s handmade paper are the largest among them. The beginning of the handmade paper industry dates back to 1728 when Maharaja Sawai Jai Singh II took the proposal.
Shri Digambar Jain Temple is one of the other main attractions of Sanganer, which allure the visitors with the fine carvings. The temple is built in an old architectural style and is often compared to Dilwara Temples of Mount Abu. The temple encompasses grand spires and a stone shrine in the inner chamber, which houses the idol of Parshwanath along with 7 serpent hoods.
