 Pushkar is a place in the Indian state of Rajasthan and it lies on the Coast of Pushkar Lake. According to Hindu mythology, gods unconfined a swan which was holding a lotus in its beak which it let fall where Brahma performed yagna. The place was called Pushkar where the lotus fell. The town is endowed with five main temples and some smaller ones. Pushkar is among the 5 sacred dhams and is located 14 kilometers from Ajmer. Pushkar Camel Fair which is held annually is also famous. Pushkar is oftenly known as "Tirth Raj" and it has become a famous tourist destination for many people within as well as outside the country.
Sightseeing in Pushkar includes Man Mahal, Varaha temple, Savitri temple, Pushkar Lake, Temple of Rangji, Apteshwar Mahadev temple, and Jagat Pita Shri Brahma temple.
