Kaziranga is located in Indian State of Assam and is famous for its Kaziranga National Park. The park extends to an area of 430 square kilometers and makes it a perfect habitat for Indian One-Horned Rhino. In 1940, the National Park was affirmed as a wildlife sanctuary. In the year 2006, Kaziranga National Park was again stated as a Tiger Reserve because amid the sheltered areas in world, it has the maximum density of tigers. Swamp deer, water buffalo and elephants are found in lager number and the park blends high- species visibility and diversity. Indian Bison, Sloth Bears, Hog Badgers, Hoolock Gibbons, Pythons, Hog Deer, Monitor Lizards, Wild Boar, Capped Langurs, Jackal and Leopard Cats add to the other main attractions of the park.
The best time to visit the place is from mid November to early month of April. Whereas, monsoon is not the ideal season to visit as the park is flooded with water. Touring to Kaziranga National Park include elephant-back-ride in the early hours. The visitors could see the alluring view of the elephants roaming around. The mind-boggling experience to National Park provides the enchanting experience to see the animals from closely. The tourists can also enjoy the walk through rubber plantations and lush coffee near Karbi Anglong. On request film shows could also be arranged on wildlife. One can easily reach Kaziranga National Park by road, rails and air.
